What you are agreeing to and who it applies to
These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of the Sunnis4Marriage mobile application (available on iOS and Android) and our website at sunnis4marriage.com (together, the "Platform").
The Platform is operated by Sunnis4Marriage ("we", "us", "our"). By registering an account or using any part of the Platform, you agree to be bound by these Terms in full. If you do not agree, you must not use the Platform.
These Terms should be read alongside our Privacy Policy, which explains how we collect and use your personal data, and forms part of the overall agreement between you and us.
Who is permitted to use Sunnis4Marriage
To register and use the Platform you must:
By using the Platform, you confirm that you meet all eligibility criteria above and that the information you provide during registration is truthful and accurate.
Registration, security, and your responsibilities
You must provide accurate, complete, and up-to-date information during registration and keep your profile honest at all times. Your profile is your representation on the Platform â other members rely on it to make decisions about whether to connect with you.
Your public profile displays a nickname, not your full legal name. Your full name is stored on your account but is never shown to other members. You may choose any nickname; however if you enter your full name as your nickname, that is your own choice and you take responsibility for that decision.
You are responsible for keeping your login credentials â including your password â confidential. You must not share your account with any other person. You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account, whether or not you authorised it.
If you believe your account has been accessed without your authorisation, notify us immediately at support@sunnis4marriage.com.
You may hold only one active account on the Platform at any time. Creating multiple accounts â whether to evade a ban, to misrepresent yourself, or for any other reason â is a breach of these Terms and may result in permanent removal of all associated accounts.
You must update your profile promptly if any material information changes â for example, your location or marital status. Deliberately maintaining inaccurate information on your profile is a breach of these Terms.
What you may and may not do on the Platform
Sunnis4Marriage is a respectful, marriage-focused community built on Islamic values. All members are expected to conduct themselves accordingly at all times.
All communication through the Platform must be respectful and in keeping with Islamic values. Sending unsolicited or inappropriate messages, repeating contact after being asked to stop, or any form of sexual harassment will result in immediate account suspension.
We strongly advise members not to share personal contact details (phone number, home address, social media handles) with other members until they are fully confident in that person's identity and intentions. We cannot be held responsible for interactions that take place outside of the Platform. If you choose to meet another member in person, always do so in a public place and inform a trusted person.
Photos, text, and anything you upload or submit
You retain ownership of all content you submit to the Platform â including your profile text, photos, and messages. By submitting content, you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide licence to store, display, and use that content solely for the purpose of operating and providing the Platform to you and other members.
All content you upload or submit must:
Photos must clearly be of you â not someone else, not an avatar, not a cartoon, AI-generated image, or stock photo. Photos must be clear enough to identify you. We reserve the right to remove any photo that does not meet these standards or that has been reported by other members, without prior notice.
We reserve the right to remove any content that we believe, in our reasonable judgement, breaches these Terms, is harmful to other members, or violates applicable law. We are not obliged to notify you before removing content, though we will do so where reasonably practicable.
Messages exchanged between members are private. You must not screenshot, copy, or share another member's messages outside the Platform without their explicit consent. Doing so may breach their privacy and UK data protection law, and may result in your account being removed.
What each plan includes and how daily quotas work
Sunnis4Marriage offers three tiers of access. Features and daily interaction quotas vary by plan. All quotas reset every 24 hours.

There is currently no in-app self-serve option to temporarily hide or pause your profile without deleting your account. If you would like your profile hidden while your account remains active â for example, while you are away â please contact us at support@sunnis4marriage.com and we will arrange this for you.
You can permanently delete your profile and account directly from within the app at any time. Deletion immediately removes your profile from the Platform. Data retention timelines are set out in our Privacy Policy. Deleting your account does not cancel an active subscription â you must do that separately through Apple or Google (see Section 7).
Billing, renewal, cancellation, and pricing
All payments are processed through the Apple App Store (iOS) or Google Play Store (Android). We do not collect or store your payment card details. By making a purchase, you also agree to Apple's or Google's applicable payment terms.
The Standard Plan is a recurring subscription, available monthly or annually. It renews automatically at the end of each billing period unless you cancel before the renewal date.
Prices are as displayed in the app at the time of purchase. We reserve the right to change pricing and will notify active subscribers in advance of any price change affecting their renewal.
You can cancel at any time. After cancellation, you keep Standard Plan access until the end of the current paid period and will not be charged again.
The VIP Matchmaker Plan is a single, non-recurring payment of ÂŖ500. It does not auto-renew. Access to VIP plan features is lifetime and tied to your Sunnis4Marriage account.
No payment is required for the Free plan. Free plan features are as described in Section 6 and are subject to change.
When and how refunds are available
Refunds for Standard Plan charges are governed by Apple App Store and Google Play Store policies, as those platforms process the payment. We do not directly issue refunds for subscription charges.
The following conditions apply to VIP refund requests:
After 14 days, or where the service has been substantially used, the VIP Matchmaker Plan is non-refundable. This does not affect your statutory rights under UK consumer law.
Nothing in this refund policy limits your rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 or any other applicable UK consumer protection legislation. If you believe a purchase was made in error or under misrepresentation, contact us and we will assess your case fairly and promptly.
What the service includes and what you are agreeing to
The VIP Matchmaker Plan is our premium, personally assisted matchmaking service. This section explains in detail what it includes, what consent you give by purchasing it, and what you can expect from us.
When presenting you to a potential match or their representatives, we share relevant profile information including your background, religious practice, preferences, and what you are looking for in a partner. We will never share your direct contact details â your phone number, email address, or WhatsApp â with anyone outside our team. All introductions and initial contact arrangements are handled by us.
Once your purchase is confirmed, a member of our team will reach out to you via WhatsApp or email using the contact details on your account to introduce themselves and begin the process.
While we commit to making every reasonable effort on your behalf, we cannot guarantee that a match will be found within any specific timeframe, or at all. The VIP Matchmaker Plan represents a commitment of our dedicated time and resources to work for you â it is not a guarantee of an outcome.
If at any point you wish to pause or stop external promotion of your profile, contact us at support@sunnis4marriage.com. We will act on your request promptly. Withdrawing from external promotion does not affect your other VIP plan benefits, including your dedicated matchmaker.
How we keep the Platform safe and respectful
We are committed to maintaining a safe and respectful environment for all members. We moderate the Platform proactively and respond to member reports.
Any member can report a profile or message they believe to be fake, abusive, or in breach of these Terms. Reports are reviewed by our team. Where a report results in action being taken, the member who filed the report will not be identified to the reported member.
Depending on the nature and severity of a breach, we may take one or more of the following steps:
If you believe your account has been suspended or removed in error, you may appeal by contacting us at support@sunnis4marriage.com. We will review your appeal and respond within 10 business days. Our decision following an appeal is final.
We cannot review every profile and every message in real time. While we take reports seriously and act on them, we cannot guarantee that all content on the Platform meets our standards at all times. We strongly encourage all members to use the report function whenever they encounter something that concerns them.
Closing your account â by you or by us
You can delete your account at any time directly from within the app. Deletion permanently removes your profile from the Platform. Personal data will be deleted in accordance with our Privacy Policy (typically within 30 days, subject to legal retention requirements).
Important: Deleting your account does not automatically cancel an active Standard Plan subscription. You must cancel your subscription separately through the Apple App Store or Google Play Store (see Section 7) to stop future charges.
We reserve the right to suspend or permanently terminate your account at any time if we reasonably believe you have breached these Terms, engaged in conduct harmful to other members, or used the Platform for fraudulent or unlawful purposes.
Where we terminate an account for cause, no refund will be issued for any remaining subscription period. We will notify you where reasonably practicable, except where immediate action is required to protect other members or the integrity of the Platform.
On termination of your account â whether by you or by us:
Ownership of the Platform and its content
All intellectual property rights in the Sunnis4Marriage Platform â including its design, code, graphics, logos, text, feature names, and overall appearance â are owned by or licensed to us. Nothing in these Terms transfers any intellectual property rights to you.
You may not copy, reproduce, modify, distribute, or create derivative works from any part of the Platform without our prior written permission. This includes scraping or bulk downloading member data.
The Sunnis4Marriage name and logo are our trademarks. You must not use them in any way without our express written consent.
As set out in Section 5, you retain ownership of the content you submit. By submitting content to the Platform, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to use that content solely for the purpose of operating the Platform. We do not claim ownership of your photos, bio, or messages.
What we do and do not guarantee
We aim to keep the Platform available and functioning at all times, but we cannot guarantee uninterrupted or error-free access. The Platform may be temporarily unavailable due to scheduled maintenance, technical failures, or circumstances beyond our reasonable control.
We take active steps to detect and remove fake profiles, but we cannot verify every piece of information provided by members. You interact with other members at your own risk. Exercise appropriate caution before sharing personal information or arranging to meet someone you have connected with through the Platform.
We are not responsible for the conduct of members on or off the Platform. Before meeting any member in person, please follow standard personal safety precautions â meet in a public place, tell a trusted person where you are going, and trust your instincts. If you experience concerning behaviour, report it to us immediately and, where appropriate, to the police.
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable UK law, the Platform is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.
The extent of our legal responsibility to you
To the fullest extent permitted by UK law, we shall not be liable for:
Where liability cannot be excluded by law â for example, for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for fraudulent misrepresentation â nothing in these Terms limits or excludes that liability.
Where we are found liable to you for any claim arising from your use of the Platform, our total liability shall not exceed the total amount you have paid to us in the 12 months immediately preceding the event giving rise to the claim.
External platforms and services used to run Sunnis4Marriage
The Platform relies on certain third-party services to operate. By using Sunnis4Marriage, you acknowledge that interactions with these services are also subject to their own terms and policies:
We choose our providers carefully and require them to handle data in accordance with applicable data protection law. However, we are not responsible for the availability, accuracy, or practices of any third-party service, and their services are governed by their own terms.
How we handle updates to this document
We may update these Terms from time to time to reflect changes in the law, our services, or how we operate. When we make changes, we will:
Your continued use of the Platform after updated Terms have been posted constitutes your acceptance of those changes. If you do not agree with the updated Terms, you should stop using the Platform and cancel any active subscription.

Which law applies and how disagreements are resolved
These Terms and any dispute or claim arising from or relating to them â including non-contractual disputes â are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales.
The courts of England and Wales shall have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising from or in connection with these Terms or your use of the Platform, except where applicable consumer protection law in your country of residence provides otherwise.
Before taking any formal legal action, we encourage you to contact us first at support@sunnis4marriage.com. The vast majority of concerns can be resolved quickly and fairly through direct communication, and we are committed to responding to complaints promptly.
If we are unable to resolve a dispute through direct contact, you may have the option of using an alternative dispute resolution (ADR) service. As a UK consumer, you may also be able to refer unresolved complaints to a relevant regulatory body. We will provide details of applicable ADR options on request.
